Hunting the Hunters by Mary Sutherland

* Not all spiders catch their food in webs.
* Some hunt for their food, stalking and pouncing on their prey, in much the same way as a cat does.
* Many spiders are night-shift workers.
*Six of a hunting spider’s eight eyes work like mirrors.
* Most spiders are active at night
* Most spiders hunt at night so the birds do not eat them.
* A hunting spider reflects back any light that reaches it’s eye.
* The best time to look at them is after dark.

I have found my research facts from an article by Mary Sutherland
